Philadelphia Textiles: Germantown Eyedazzler The Germantown Eyedazzler style of Navaho rugs is a remarkable little-known story of Philadelphia's world-renowned Germantown yarn and its role in sparking two revolutions in Navajo weaving and design: one in the 19th century and one underway today. Southwestern and Native American art expert Linda Kowall Woal will discuss the history of these two revolutions how materials and economic conditions influenced weaving styles and the fascinating personal stories behind those revolutions.
