The Lady in the Dark Project

In this landmark 1941 musical by Kurt Weill, Ira Gershwin, and Moss Hart, the turbulent dreams of a fashion editor become the key to understanding her waking state. Lady in the Dark was the first Broadway musical to consider psychoanalysis seriously and to explore a powerful career woman. The score includes such favorites as “My Ship” and “The Saga of Jenny.”
