Mellon Penn Faculty Research Fellowships

Call for Applications, 2008–2009

DEADLINE: Friday, February 1, 2008

Applications are solicited from standing faculty members in the humanities and allied departments at Penn for the Penn Humanities Forum's 2008–2009 Mellon Faculty Research Fellowships.

Available are junior faculty awards of $5000 disbursed as salary, as well as senior faculty awards of $10,000 paid directly to departments to offset the cost of a course release.

Fellows must be engaged in research directly related to Change, the Forum's topic for 2008–2009, its tenth anniversary year. Fellows are also expected to participate in the Forum's weekly Mellon Research Seminar held on Tuesdays, 12:00–2:00 p.m. during the academic year, presenting a paper during the course of the year.

Other seminar members include Mellon Postdoctoral Fellows, Regional Faculty and Professional Fellows, the directors of the Forum, and others.

  • Your c.v.
  • Project title, 125-word abstract, and two-page description of the research you propose to undertake during the fellowship year.
