Regional Faculty and Professional Research Fellowships

The Penn Humanities Forum each year offers a small number of $3000 fellowships for standing faculty in the humanities from Philadelphia-area colleges and universities and for directors and curators of Philadelphia-area cultural organizations. Interested candidates should be conducting work related to the Forum's theme for the year in which the award is granted.

Fellows must attend the weekly Mellon Research Seminars at the Penn Humanities Forum (Tuesdays, noon–2:00pm, please allow travel time when scheduling classes and other obligations) and present their research at one of sessions during the year. Members of the Tuesday Mellon Research Seminar include Penn Faculty Fellows, Mellon Postdoctoral Fellows, Regional Faculty and Professional Research Fellows, and others.

The fellowship includes access to the University of Pennsylvania library for the term of the award.

Calls for proposals are announced in late fall of the year preceeding
the fellowship.
