Penn Humanities Forum Graduate
Research Assistantship

The Penn Humanities Forum offers a Graduate Research Assistantship each academic year for a University of Pennsylvania dissertation-level (ABD) student in the humanities whose thesis pertains to the Forum's research topic for that year. Students receive full support (tuition plus a stipend). Applicants may not be holding other positions (e.g., teaching) and must be in good academic and financial standing with the Graduate School of Arts and Sciences.

The position involves participation in the ongoing business of the Penn Humanities Forum, which includes serving as student coordinator of the Graduate Humanities Forum biweekly Research Seminar and annual conference, staffing and participating in PHF's weekly Faculty Mellon Research Seminar, and helping to staff the Forum's public events and other programs as needed.

The annual Call for Applications is announced each fall semester, with personal interviews conducted in late March as part of the application process.
